About
About Agency Enabled AI
Agency Enabled AI exists to help digital marketing and ecommerce agencies redesign how knowledge, workflows, people, systems and AI work together.
The company grew out of an operating problem, not a theory about AI consulting. Steve Berke was already running Always Open Commerce and experimenting with the same models, applications and automations many agency teams were adopting. The more tools appeared, the clearer the underlying issue became: giving people AI did not automatically give the agency a coherent AI-enabled operating model.
That realization became Agency Replatforming.
From AI tools to the operating model behind them
The early work started with a familiar question: which AI tools should an agency use?
But that question kept exposing more fundamental ones. Where does authoritative company knowledge live? Are SOPs current? How does client context move between people and systems? Which workflows are actually repeatable? Where should AI assist, where should automation run, and where should a person still review or decide? Who owns quality, permissions and exceptions? How would leadership know whether any of the changes were actually working?
Those questions moved the work away from tool selection and toward the operating system behind service delivery.
Agency Replatforming is the name AEA uses for that broader work: redesigning how an existing agency operates so its knowledge, workflows, people, systems and AI work together.
Why build this from inside an agency?
Always Open Commerce is the affiliated operating digital agency where the original work is being developed and tested.
That matters because Agency Enabled AI is intended to be built around the realities of running an agency: recurring client delivery, changing priorities, shared knowledge, quality control, handoffs, deadlines, systems, permissions and the gap between an interesting AI demo and something a team can actually operate.
AOC is a proving ground, not independent customer validation. Its internal observations or results do not automatically become AEA proof. Where AOC experience is referenced publicly, it should be attributed accurately and measured before broader performance claims are made.
That evidence discipline is intentional. The goal is to learn from real operating work without pretending affiliated experience is the same as an external case study.
Founder / operator
Meet Steve Berke
Steve Berke is the founder/operator behind Agency Enabled AI and owns and operates Always Open Commerce LLC.
His perspective is operator-first. AEA is being built around the belief that agencies will continue to matter, but that AI will change meaningful parts of how agencies deliver work, how workflows are organized, how context moves through the business, how teams use systems and how leadership thinks about operating leverage.
That is a point of view, not a promise that every agency will change in the same way. The AEA approach is to assess the actual operating model before prescribing what should be rebuilt, connected, automated, governed or left alone.
The company is deliberately not positioned as an AI-guru business. The standard is practical: explain the mechanism, separate observation from evidence, preserve human accountability and measure before making claims.
What AEA is building
Agency Enabled AI is focused on Agency Replatforming for digital marketing and ecommerce agencies.
At a high level, that can involve authoritative knowledge and source governance; AI context and working environments; workflow architecture; integrations and automation where appropriate; governance, security and permissions; QA and human control; training and adoption; measurement; and continuous improvement.
Those are not sold as a generic checklist. The paid Audit comes first so the Program can be configured around what the agency actually needs.
Who AEA is for
The January 2027 launch focus is digital marketing and ecommerce agencies with roughly 10-20 employees.
Agencies with 6-9 employees can also be a fit when there is enough operating complexity for the work to matter. Agencies with 21+ employees are generally handled through a phased or custom path rather than being forced into the standard Program model.
Headcount is only one signal. A stronger fit usually includes recurring delivery operations, shared knowledge across roles, workflows that depend on coordination, a leadership sponsor with authority to change how work operates, and a willingness to document, govern, train and measure rather than simply add more tools.
The United States is the primary launch geography, with the United Kingdom, Australia and Canada as secondary geographies.
How AEA relates to Always Open Commerce
Agency Enabled AI is a distinct brand with an approved plan to operate as a Florida fictitious name, or DBA, under Always Open Commerce LLC. The Florida fictitious-name filing remains pending until completed.
AEA is not a separate legal entity from Always Open Commerce LLC under the approved structure. Always Open Commerce LLC is the underlying active Florida limited liability company and the operating digital agency associated with the brand.
This relationship should be transparent wherever legal identity or proving-ground context matters.
How AEA relates to Whitecap Teams
Whitecap Teams is a separate company.
Its focus is qualified people prepared to work inside AI-enabled workflows. That can be complementary when a client separately needs human-capacity support, but Whitecap is not bundled with Agency Enabled AI and is not required for AEA to deliver value.
Dedicated recruiting, employment and managed-team capacity belong with Whitecap Teams rather than being presented as part of the Agency Enabled AI service.
Evidence before claims
AEA is building an evidence-disciplined approach from the beginning.
That means separating company facts from founder opinion, validated evidence from self-reported information, and operating observations from public performance claims. It also means avoiding unsupported promises about productivity, ROI, savings, headcount reduction, delivery speed or universal superiority.
The Audit itself follows that principle by distinguishing evidence confidence and using the current operating model to support recommendations. Replatforming work is then scoped from what the evidence shows rather than from a predetermined technology package.
The standard is simple: measure before claiming.
Start with how the agency actually operates
Agency Enabled AI is for leaders who want to move beyond disconnected AI adoption and determine what the agency itself should change.
The first step is the paid Audit: validate the current state, identify priorities and dependencies, define the recommended Replatforming path and confirm the final Program scope and price.
